The nose is quite quiet - cinnamon, ginger, custard creams and a hint of pot pourri. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has ginger, cinnamon, cloves, lemon, and hints of marmalade. The finish has ginger and lemon.

Water brings out thick, rapidly spreading whorling that dissipates quickly. The nose gains tobacco leaves and old leather. The body gains unpolished oak and tobacco, and then some oranges. The finish gains oranges and tobacco.

A great dram for dessert, this really confounded my expectations of a spicy and dry whisky.
