SMWS 12.30 - Caramelised coconut chipsThe nose has hints of tangerine and almonds, but is quite subtle. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has tangerine, apple and coconut. The finish has tangerine, coconut and a hint of pineapple.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that dissipates quickly without mottling. The nose gains caramel. The body gains caramel and hints of chocolate, but loses nothing. The finish gains hints of chocolate.

A quiet dram, but very drinkable. This is what an SMWS session dram should be... I also suspect it will change nicely as it gets some more air, but sadly there’s only a little time when writing previews...

One for summer evenings.

Technical score: 4/5

Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
