SMWS 128.9 - ElectrochemysteryThe nose has geraniums, lemon, dried banana, fresh leaf growth in spring and hints of sage. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, vinegar, midget gems, pineapple, red apples, caramel, toffee and a hint of sandalwood. The finish has caramel, toffee and sandalwood, with lemon.

Water brings out thin, compact whorling that settles quickly into lingering mottling. The nose gains strawberries and more geraniums, and loses the dried banana. The body gains strawberries and more lemon, and loses the vinegar. The finish gains more lemon and some geraniums.

A lovely delicate fruity dram with plenty of decent wood and some floral notes - nicely composed, and all too soon gone from the glass.

One for summer afternoons, when it’s raining outside.

Technical score: 4/5

Personal preference: I’d like more than one bottle.
