The nose has a lot of acetal notes initially, but burns off to show toffee and pear drops, with a hint of ginger. There's also a hint of greenhouses - tomato vines? The mouthfeel is thin, with little cling. The body has toffee, peanut brittle, then melon and lime. The lime continues into the finish, which is lime and a hint of ginger.
Water brings out thin, very rapidly expanding whorling that dissipates incredibly quickly. The nose becomes woodier - cedar cigar boxes and tea crates, with melon. The toffee is still there in the background. The body gains watermelon and fudge, with nutty hints - pecan pie? The lime is still there towards the finish, but in the background. The finish gains acetal hints, and loses a little of the ginger in favour of a little fudge.
A springtime dram for hipflasks and hikes.
