The nose has butterscotch, banana, melon and hints of lavender. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has vanilla, coconut, lavender, honeysuckle, melon, mango, guava and a little nutmeg. The finish has melon, mango, lavender and nutmeg - getting hotter with each sip.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into decent mottling. The nose gains mango, watermelon and marzipan. The body gains sultanas and cinnamon, and loses the nutmeg. The finish gains cinnamon and sultanas, and loses the nutmeg and some of the heat.

An elegant dram that’s more fruity than rich - very pleasant.

One for spring evenings.
