9 years old, distilled 1st July 2008, 61.9% abv, Refill Ex-Sherry Butt, 611 bottles, dram price B

The nose has oranges, cinnamon and almonds. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has cinnamon and nutmeg with hints of croissants and orange peel - an unusual combination! The finish is cinnamon and nutmeg with a little ginger.

Water brings out thin whorling that expands and dissipates rapidly. The nose gains more orange notes, and the spices are a little less dominant. The body gains more spiced oranges and orange peel, but it's still a spicy beast! The finish is more cinnamon but the nutmeg and ginger remain.

Not my style of dram - spice layered upon spice, with a dash of spice as a side.
