SMWS 64.106 - Loch BlancThe nose has pineapple juice, gorse, and a little hint of fudge. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has pineapple, lemon, orange peel, old leather, and ginger. The finish is ginger and pineapple.

Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains lemon and loses the fudge. The body gains more lemon and some rhubarb, and loses the old leather. The finish gains lemon but loses nothing.

The ginger didn't grow with water, and the fruit always balanced it out nicely.

One for spring afternoons.

Technical score: 3.5/5

Personal preference: I'd have another dram.
