10 years old, distilled 5th March 2008, 61.9% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 219 bottles, dram price A

The nose has lavender, posies of summer meadow flowers, and a little toffee. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, summer meadows, toffee, and a hint of lime. The finish has lemon, lime and toffee.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that dissipates without mottling. The nose gains more of the floral notes, and loses the toffee. The body gains more lemon and a touch of cinnamon. The finish gains vanilla, cinnamon and some more lemon.

A very sweet, almost mouth-puckeringly so, dram. Those floral notes keep your interest, but this one needs warm weather.

One for summer afternoons.
