11 years old, distilled 8th February 2006, 50.0% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 138 bottles, dram price B

The nose has violets, lemon, and hessian. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has sherbet lemon, violets and a hint of oatmeal. The finish has violets and white pepper (out of nowhere!).

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into lingering mottling. The nose gains more lemon and loses the hessian. The body gains more oatmeal and loses the violets. The finish gains oatmeal, losing the white pepper somewhat.

An interesting dram - not many notes, but nicely composed.

One for spring afternoons on a walk.

Personal preference: I'd have another dram.
