SMWS 77.61 - O bonie was yon rosie brierThe nose has dusty summer trails and hedgerows, with hints of toffee and banana. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has coconut, banana, lemon and then hints of meadows and hot dusty summer days. The finish has lemon, meadow flowers and cinnamon.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains pink wafers and more lemon, and loses the hedgerows and dustiness. The body gains pink wafers, more lemon, and some mint leaf. The finish gains pink wafers and some more of the cinnamon heat.

A little too warm for me, but a very good set of flavours - I wish my spice tolerance was higher!

One for summer afternoons.

Technical score: 3.5/5

Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
