The nose has lemon, vanilla and hints of lime. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, lime, chunky marmalade and vanilla. The finish has vanilla, lemon and hints of wood spice - not too hot though.
Water brings out thin, compact whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains oak furniture and more vanilla. The body gains fresh oak, sawdust and custard powder. The finish gains a lot more wood spice - quite warm.
A simple but enjoyable dram. Too hot for me after water, but always nicely balanced.
One for autumnal afternoons.
Technical score: 3/5
Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
