The nose has pineapple and green apples, with a hint of vegetation (dry hedgerows?). The mouthfeel is decent with a little cling and very smooth for this strength. The body has lemon, pineapple cubes, apple sours, fruit chews, and hints of butterscotch and sugared barley water. The finish is pineapple cubes and lemon.

Water brings out compact whorling that doesn't mottle - it just dissipates quickly. The nose gains grassy and white pepper, and loses the green apples. The body gains more pineapple and a hint of custard creams. The finish is unchanged.

A fine summer's day dram - one for sitting in the shade watching the world go by.
