The nose is quiet, but has citrus fruits and toffee. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has oranges, lemon and toffee. The finish has lemon and toffee.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains raspberry, but loses nothing. The body gains raspberry, and a little peppercorn. The finish gains peppercorn.

A quiet dram but nicely composed - one for a hipflask on spring walks.

Technical score: 3/5

Personal preference: I'd have another dram.
